Mike Epps is funny as hell. Saw him live last year and he tore it down… up… whatever.

PRIVACY FOR FAME

We Live In Public

On the 41st anniversary of the Internet, WE LIVE IN PUBLIC tells the story of the effect it is having on our society as seen through the eyes of “the greatest Internet pioneer you’ve never heard of”, visionary Josh Harris.

Award-winning director, Ondi Timoner (“DIG!”), documented his tumultuous life for more than a decade, to create a riveting, cautionary tale of what to expect as the virtual world inevitably takes control of our lives.

Harris, often called the “Warhol of the Web”, founded Pseudo.com, the first Internet television network during the infamous dot-com boom of the 1990s. He also curated and funded the ground breaking project “Quiet” in an underground bunker in NYC where over 100 people lived together on camera for 30 days at the turn of the millennium.

With Quiet, Harris proved how we willingly trade our privacy for the connection and recognition we all deeply desire, but with every technological advancement such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, becomes more elusive. Through his experiments, including a six-month stint living with his girlfriend under 24-hour electronic surveillance which led to his mental collapse, Harris demonstrated the price we pay for living in public.

Harris strongly believes that the Technological Singularity will be reached and the human being will cease to be an individual, while the machine becomes the new king of the jungle.

Curb Your Child?

child harness

Lazy as it gets. I shook my head for at least 10 minutes straight at this after spotting this at the airport on the customs line and had to take some snaps.

Should this be on stuffwhitepeoplelike.com ?

RAP STYLE SLICK AS NUNILE

Nas ft R. Kelly - Street Dreams [remix]

Tracks like this prove why Nas is one of the top (and one of my favorite) emcees.

Yes, over Jay-Z.

Quiet confession,
the system’s supplying the pressure
my mind is guessing
Is living and dying a lesson
but not to be obliged with the mirage
of cars taking you off track
from with the gods focus on hard…

Coldplay - A Message [Live]

One of the better and lesser known tracks. My cousin says that Chris Martin sounds like a wet dog howling. Maybe shes right but only occasionally.
